Art is an important part of the curriculum at St. Agnes, and provides us with a creative way to incorporate critical thinking skills and an appreciation for hard work and originality. The students experiment using different mediums and focus on the elements and principles of art to create their own masterpieces! Whether learning about texture, or Vincent Van Gogh, or the art of South America, our students are expected to do their best work. |
STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Mathematics) seeks to incorporate practical, hands-on engineering and technology experiences into the learning process at St. Agnes. STEAM promotes discovery, exploration, higher-level thinking, logical reasoning, collaboration and problem solving, both inside and outside the classroom. In STEAM class the students work together to solve problems. They use the engineering design process to help them find solutions.
On this blog, I will showcase the “creative chaos” that is occurring in the Art/STEAM Room on any given day. Check back often to see what we are learning and creating!
